Prime Minister of Mongolia N. Uchral met with his Kazakh counterpart, Olzhas Bektenov, on June 24 on the sidelines of the Summer Davos forum in Dalian, China.
Prime Minister N. Uchral reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to implementing the outcomes of President U. Khurelsukh’s state visit to Kazakhstan in April and further strengthening the two countries’ Strategic Partnership.
The two leaders agreed to deepen economic cooperation and boost bilateral trade to USD 500 million through the effective implementation of the Interim Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union.

They also agreed to strengthen transport and logistics connectivity by establishing a joint intergovernmental working group to advance the shortest transport corridor linking Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
Prime Minister N. Uchral highlighted opportunities to expand bilateral trade in agricultural products and light industry, including meat, wool, cashmere, leather, fruit, vegetables, and wheat, while encouraging joint projects in these sectors.
The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in mining, petroleum, and nuclear energy, and pledged government support for stronger partnerships between businesses in both countries.
