The network of “Green Stations” for charging electric vehicles continues to expand across Mongolia.
On August 31, 2026, a new “Green Station” opened in Chingeltei District, Ulaanbaatar, offering fast charging for up to four vehicles at once.

The station is powered entirely by solar panels. It also features a CU convenience store and service outlet, making it a flagship “Green Station” model.
Nationwide, 38 charging stations have so far been installed, providing capacity to charge 75 vehicles simultaneously. Going forward, 10 additional stations with 20 chargers will be installed at seven locations in Ulaanbaatar, while another 20 chargers will be installed at 10 locations in rural areas. This will increase the total capacity to charge 60 additional vehicles simultaneously.

Mongolia has also begun issuing green license plates for electric vehicles, with more than 670 plates issued as of this summer.
Prime Minister N. Uchral said green development is a key priority of the government’s national “Unlock Mongolia” initiative.
“We aim to create a network of routes that will allow people to travel across Mongolia’s vast territory by electric vehicle with ease, establishing ‘Green Stations’ every 150 kilometers and building a nationwide fast-charging network capable of serving 500 vehicles,” he said.

MMS company implemented the project and plans to build electric vehicle charging complexes powered by distributed renewable energy at 111 locations by 2028 – 83 in rural areas and 28 in the Ulaanbaatar region.
